Cozy communal living room with a log fire. Excellent converted farmhouse that balances modern comforts with rustic charm.
While the location offers amazing views, you'll need a car for flexibility due to limited public transport options.

We especially enjoyed the fine views from the hotel, made our mornings so much brighter.
The road leading to The Draen was a bit rough and typical of UK country lanes, which might be challenging for some drivers.

We had a lovely stay in the Beautiful Double Room with Bath where we enjoyed a nice bath after a busy day exploring. The beautiful garden and cozy communal areas were perfect for relaxing with a book. Just a heads up, the road to get there is a little bumpy, but it doesn't take away from the charm! 😊

The Draen delivered an lovely experience. The Rose suite offered a cozy lounge with a log burner that created a snug atmosphere. Each morning started with a hearty breakfast. Choosing exactly what I wanted the night before. The view of the Black Mountains every morning was a amazing way to wake up. Sue, the host, was accommodating. Tea and biscuits were waiting for me upon arrival. I enjoyed the charming communal areas, complete with a selection of DVDs for calming evenings. The only downside was the long and narrow road leading to the hotel. It might challenge some drivers, especially during busy times. The tranquility and starry skies more than made up for this minor inconvenience.

Cozy and peaceful stay with fine views
We spent 3 nights in the Rose Suite, and it was just perfect! Having that separate lounge area was super nice for chilling after a day out. The starry nights were unreal, and the bed was sooo comfy. Breakfast in our private spot was such a treat! Just wish the road was a bit better for access.
